Application for peer counselor i (must be 21 years old)

This is a rotating position for adult amputees to work as a counselor for future camps.

Job description:

·                     supervise camper (s) under direction of assigned counselors

·                     provide camper specific activities

·                     work with team and attend all meetings in person or as arranged for out of area applicants

·                     work with established camp plan and develop new activities for designated times

·                     supervise pre/post camp out of state arrivals

·                     age 21 or older

Expectations:

·                     participate in all camp activities as part of camp structure

·                     attend all staff meetings in person or as arranged for out of area applicants

·                     be responsible for 1 camper and their camp needs

·                     attend mandatory pre camp training for CIT as arranged by meeting, phone or email

·                     be available for dates of camp and day/night prior and post camp

·                     dedicate time necessary for camp preparation

Abilities:

·                     able to participate independently in related activity for camp ie ski/board, raft/camp

·                     balance independent problem solving with teamwork

·                     work and play well with others
